Yesterday “Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant” JSC and Football Federation of Pavlodar region invited all fans to the Low Embankment to support Pavlodar “Irtysh” before the match with “Crvena Zvezda”. The Ukrainian group “Hot chocolate” arrived in Pavlodar region to support the titled club of Kazakhstan. The popular trio received the musical award “Golden Gramophone” for the song “Beregi”.
“We will be eyewitness of the new football history of the region. Pavlodar “Irtysh” – five-time football champion of Kazakhstan. For the first time in four years, we are in European League again. We have won the team “Dunav”, one of the leaders of the Bulgarian championship and today we will play with the strongest club in South-Eastern Europe, winner of the Intercontinental Cup and Champions League Cup 1991 FC “Crvena Zvezda”. Dear Pavlodar residents, I call you to support our team, regardless of the result of the game”, the president of the Football Federation of Pavlodar region Rasul Urazgulov said.
“We would like to support the football players and congratulate the Electrolysis Plant on its anniversary. We will give you good time” the soloists of “Hot Chocolate” Nadezhda Maystrenko, Yaroslava Miroshnichenko and Alisa Abramova noted.
Live Band “Nord Wind” and a new “Girls band” of Kazakhstan show business “Shamis” performed there as well.
In the return leg of the second knockout round of the Europa League the Pavlodar “Irtysh” lost to the Serbian “Crvena Zvezda”, the score was 2 to 0. The head coach of the Serbian “Crvena Zvezda” Vladan Milojevich shared his impressions of the 2 leg with “Irtysh” (2:0).
“I realize that “Irtysh” is the disciplined team, it knows the own mind. We should draw a moral from the game. The game was perfect. In fact, Irtysh gave good impression. We have to work hard”, Milojevich noted.
The head coach of “Irtysh” Dimitar Dimitrov commented on the loss.
“I congratulate “Crvena Zvezda” with the victory. We tried to play in an organized way but lost”, Dimitrov said.
The first match in Pavlodar ended in a draw – 1:1. Thus, “Crvena Zvezda” will play in the third round with “Sparta” (Czech).
