The second-tier banks and exchange offices in the region have worked normally. It was said in the meeting, held between the representatives of the financial sector and akim of Pavlodar region Abylkair Skakov.
“Today in Pavlodar region there are about 120 foreign exchange offices. The National Bank controls the situation in the foreign exchange market, however, the state agencies have to establish cooperation with the financial sector”, the head of the region said.
“Our common task is to avoid agiotage, especially on weekends, when trades on KASE are closed. Today we need to talk to people in the front offices of our banks and explain the current situation in order to avoid public panic”, he added.
According to representatives of the financial sector, the situation at the exchange houses of Pavlodar region is stable today.
“There is no excessive demand for exchange operations in the region. Credit operations are carried out as before. All processes in the world affect our economy. Our bank develops the measures for restructurisation of loan debt and revises rates. This is due to the situation in the world. One of our customers do not obtain goods from the suppliers, other people cannot produce their own products. The same situation with individuals”, the chairman of the Pavlodar branch “Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan” JSC Anatoly Boichin said.
The head of the region planned to hold the regular meeting with the heads of the bank branches and exchange offices in 10 days.
