The new deputy head of the region will control the issues of the agro-industrial complex, land relations, water resources and food pricing.
Akim of Pavlodar region Abylkair Skakov paid attention to Asain Baikhanov’s managerial experience and wished him success in the work. He also expressed gratitude to the former deputy head of the region Almas Batanov for the work he had done and awarded him with a certificate of honour.
Asain Kuandykovich Baikhanov was born in Bayanaul area of Pavlodar region, he is 42 years old. In 2000 he graduated from Pavlodar University, in the specialty – “economics and management”, 2005–2006 he studied at the corporate development center of the German international banking holding ProCredit Holding AG and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). In 2017 he graduated from M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (Master of Business Administration, “Strategic management and entrepreneurship”).
In 2000 Asain Baikhanov started his professional career in the banking sector under the program, implemented by the office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Kazakhstan. He was an assistant of credit expert in Ekibastuz and head of the department for introduction of new banking products of EBRD program in Almaty.
From 2003 to 2007 Asain Baikhanov held senior positions in the German international banking holding ProCredit Holding AG, including executive director of “ProCredit Ukraine” PLC in Kiev. In 2007 Baikhanov came back to Kazakhstan and was deputy board chairman of “Nurbank” JSC. He was responsible for the development of small and medium-sized business and agricultural sector.
From 2009 to 2015 Asain Baikhanov was engaged in business in the agricultural sector: he started and developed some successful projects in the field of livestock, crop production and freight transportation in Almaty and Almaty region.
From 2015 to the current appointment Baikhanov worked as deputy board chairman of “KazAgroProduct” JSC, which is a part of the group “KazAgro” National Management Holding” JSC. He participated and headed the working groups to discuss and make changes in the state programs for the development of the agricultural sector as well as to achieve target indicators for export of agricultural products.
He is married and has four children.
