The parties discussed cooperation between Pavlodar region and the Republic of Bulgaria.
Iliyana Yotova arrived in Pavlodar to meet with representatives of the Bulgarian Diaspora, numbering about 1,000 people. During the visit, the Vice-President of Bulgaria met with the Governor of Pavlodar region.
– Today in our region live and work in peace and harmony representatives of about a hundred nationalities-said Bulat Bakauov. – The first Bulgarian settlers arrived on the territory of the present Pavlodar region in 1907-1908, giving birth to new villages Razumovka and Andriyanovka. For more than a century, ethnic Bulgarians have been making a worthy contribution to the development of the economic and social sphere of the region, being an integral part of its destiny, history and culture. And the Bulgarian national cultural center “Slavyane”, which operates in the region, is a full member of the non – governmental sector of Kazakhstan, contributes to the strengthening of peace, unity and harmony in the region.
The head of the region expressed hope for the establishment of new and long-term contacts of Pavlodar region with the Republic of Bulgaria and promised all possible assistance in establishing bilateral ties. Iliyana Yotova, in turn, thanked Pavlodar residents for the reception and support of the Bulgarian Diaspora.
