Despite the change of ownership, the air harbor will continue to operate as before.
The former owner of the Pavlodar airport was the Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund. The management of the fund put up an air harbor for privatization, but there were no people willing to purchase 100% of the airport’s shares. Therefore, they decided to transfer the strategic object to the municipal property of the akimat. The airport will be supervised by the administration of roads and passenger transport.
“Now we are conducting current work and bringing the internal documents of the enterprise into compliance,” said Diana Mukhanova, deputy head of the department. – In the future we intend to attract new carriers to cooperation and develop a route network. Starting from October 28, the Pavlodar-Novosibirsk flight will resume. Since May 2020, the Fly Arystan low-cost airline plans to launch the Pavlodar – Shymkent flight. In addition, in our plans to connect Pavlodar with the western regions of the country.
According to representatives of the Department of Roads and Passenger Transport, Pavlodar Airport is a break-even enterprise with no debts. Today, more than 200 people work in the air harbor.
